TWRA plans North Cumberland OHV checkpoint

HUNTSVILLE | The Tennessee Wildlife Resources Agency will be conducting an off-highway vehicle compliance checkpoint on the Ed Carter Unit of the North Cumberland Wildlife Management Area on May 7, 2022.

The checkpoint will be in the portion of the WMA falling within Claiborne County, at what is locally known as the beginning of the trail leading to McLean Rock Overlook atop Cumberland Mountain.

An alternative location for the checkpoint will be on Pigeon Roost Branch Trail at the powder bunker, locally known as the “Money Shot.”

The checkpoint will be conducted from 1 pm to 9 pm.
